Happy Earth Day! 🌱🌎

This year’s theme is “Restore Our Earth” – that’s why we have a brief action plan for you so we can help each other live more sustainably.

But before we get down to our tips, here are 3 positive things that changed since first Earth Day launched in 1970:

🌎 We are fighting for climate justice more than ever! Over 1 billion people are mobilised for action every year.

🌎 Since Earth Day in 2016, over 190 countries signed the Paris Agreement. Its goal is to keep the rise in global temperature to below 2°C.

🌎 The number of vegans continues to accelerate. The UK ranks as the the most popular country for veganism in the world for 3 years in a row.

To help our planet in tackling climate change, we’re committing to plant one tree per every order placed on evengreener.com between 22nd-25h of April.

Responsible reforestation programs, like The Canopy Project (ran by EARTHDAY.ORG) which we’re supporting this year, help to stabilise land from erosion and natural disasters, boost soil health as well as help to preserve biodiversity.

Other benefits of reforestation include:

  • cooling overheated places,
  • capturing carbon,
  • supporting agriculture,
  • helping local communities and improving their economies,
  • reducing the risk of disease transmission.

We’ll publish the sales results on Monday 26th so stay tuned!

In the meantime, check out the reforestation map made by The Canopy Project, one of the leading programms of this year’s Earth Day.

UPDATE We’ve planted 500 trees! Thank you for helping us to reforest the world! 🙏

We can all start from making three small changes to live more sustainably:

  1. Become a strategic and responsible shopper. Make conscious and intelligent choices.
  2. Show others your sustainable efforts and encourage them to do more with less.
  3. Reevaluate your energy usage and consider driving green.

Remember, sustainability is not about perfection, it’s about continuous progress and commitment.

We still have a long way to go but…

TOGETHER WE CAN RESTORE OUR EARTH!
